You've seen it all over your feeds last week and over the weekend. The protests all over the country as a result of the tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Along with those protests, have been some riots and looting.

Target is based in Minneapolis, and now several Target stores have been looted or badly damaged. Now, Target has temporary closed or reduced hours at 200 of its stores.

Seventy of the affected stores are in Minnesota, and some others are in New York, California, Texas, Illinois, Georgia, Colorado, Oregon, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

“We are heartbroken by the death of George Floyd and the pain it is causing communities across the country. At this time, we have made the decision to close a number of our stores.”

I haven't seen any reports of store closures or early closing hours here in the Treasure Valley, but if more stores are looted or damaged, I think we can expect more of a company-wide effect.
