There Are Now 46.8 Million Millionaires in the World
You feel like you make enough money? What would you do if you had a million dollars? Does a milli seem like an impossibility to achieve? It turns out, it's more possible than ever.
The number of millionaires in the world has gone up to 46.8 million, according to a new study by Credit Suisse Research Institute.
That's an increase of 1.1 million more millionaires, with the U.S. alone adding 675,000 new millionaires between mid-2018 and mid-2019.
The institute's Global Wealth Report also found that wealth inequality has declined since 2000. The bottom 90 percent of the world now holds 18 percent of global wealth, up from 11 percent. At the same time, the world's billionaires now hold 44 percent of the world's total wealth.
