This is your spot!

Readers of Travel + Leisure have spoken, and the result is unanimous: Coeur d'Alene Resort is the finest resort in all of Idaho.

Travel + Leisure polled their readers to choose their favorite resort based on values, service location, and attention to detail. More readers said the Coeur d'Alene Resort than any other in Idaho.

The resort is about a seven hour drive north of Boise, and sits right on the beaches of Lake Coeur d'Alene. If you like to hit the links, the resort is also home to a golf course featuring the world's only floating green.

In another survey done by MSN, those polled say that Coeur d'Alene Resort is one of the country's best places to celebrate Christmas. Why celebrate the yuletide at the resort? Every December, the resort pays homage to the season of giving with a 1,500,000 light show, the biggest in the United States.

According to the resort's website, your experience there will be second to none:

With idyllic landscape, year-round activities, and its spectacular setting at the shore of one of America's most beautiful lakes, it is no wonder Lake Coeur d'Alene has been christened the "Playground of the Northwest". At The Coeur d'Alene Resort we have mastered the art of relaxation. With luxurious accommodations, rejuvenating spa treatments, sumptuous cuisine, and breathtaking holiday displays, and world-class golf which includes the world's only floating green, this four-star resort continues to be the destination of choice for discerning travelers worldwide.

If you get your fill of Coeur d'Alene and need an escape from your escape, you had head 30 minutes west and be in Spokane, WA. Need a travel guide for your mini trip to Spokane? Ask our very own Tawsha Box. Our female half of Cruise & Box was born and raised there!
