The internet is talking this morning about the Super Bowl halftime performance last night by none other than Kendrick Lamar.

If you're still catching up and haven't seen the performance in full, here you go:

So, what's your take?

As usual, the internet is very divided on this topic. With responses ranging everywhere from "BEST HALFTIME SHOW EVER" to "Why can't we just get a country act that people know?" Nobody is agreeing on this.

Which, is possibly an understandable point. Let's look at the halftime performers from the past few years:

  • 2024: Usher, Alicia Keys, H.E.R. Lil Jon, Ludacris
  • 2023: Rihanna
  • 2022: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar
  • 2021: The Weeknd
  • 2020: Shakira, Jennifer Lopez

Those facts don't lie. For the past five years (and most of the years before then), the halftime performers have usually been more mainstream and more pop or hip-hop-friendly for quite some time.

Do you think 2026 is the year country music should be the focal point at the Super Bowl? Let us know your thoughts.

If you caught the game last night, but spent most of it (like us) on your phone seeing what other people were posting about, maybe you missed some of the famous faces that were spotted throughout the game.

Believe it or not, some of the most famous people on the planet showed up for this year's big game. Hopefully, they enjoyed Kendrick Lamar's halftime performance as much as we did!

P.S. There were way too few Taylor Swift cutaways this year. Just sayin'.
