Wizards Prepare to Takeover Iconic Boise Depot In October

There are few structures in the City of Boise more iconic than the Boise Depot. In recent history, the building has been more of a focal point in the city that is occasionally used as an event venue. Recent talks of Amtrak expansion have some in Boise hoping that the depot is active once again, sometime soon!

An upcoming event at the depot has Harry Potter vibes all over it--just in time for 'spooky season' and 'back to Hogwarts' energy!

Organizers are calling it a 'Wizard Encounter' and it's taking place at Boise's own Platform 9 3/4!

Here's what you can expect from the wizard gathering and takeover at the Boise Depot:

• Wizards and witches are all welcome--if you're interested in seeing or dressing up as either of these things, the event would love to have you!
• There will be characters in attendance from noon until 4:00 p.m. -- exactly which characters those might be, we aren't sure? Hopefully Dumbledore!
• Guided tours of the Boise Depot will be taking place from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. -- if you've never been to the depot, this will be fun! Perhaps the guide can point you to platform 9 3/4? These tours are FREE, by the way!
• There will be vendors on-site for food and drink!

We think that it's awesome that an event like this has been organized and while it may not be a "Harry Potter theme"--so many Potter fans will be loving this!

The event is taking place on Sunday, October 29th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
