If you are a third shifter or someone getting up early for work on Wednesday morning, don't be alarmed if moon looks a little strange. Tomorrow morning, there'll be a total lunar eclipse visible over the Treasure Valley.  A lunar eclipse is when a moon appears darkened as it passes into the earth's shadow.  A full lunar eclipse is rare and is sometimes called the "blood moon" because it makes the moon appear a redish shade.

The total eclipse begins Wednesday at 4:27 AM, hits it's peak at 4:55 AM and ends at 5:22 AM.

The next lunar eclipse will be a partial one on April 4th, 2015.
