Time and time again, people and organizations in our community come together when there is a need. Even during a global pandemic, this is no exception. Just announced this week, the City of Nampa has teamed up with the Idaho Food Bank to launch FOUR mass food distribution events at the Ford Idaho Center.

The event will be held in the large parking lot and every precaution will be taken to ensure safe distribution to families and individuals in need.

The dates of these mass food distribution events are:

  • Wednesday, February 10th
  • Wednesday, February 24th
  • Wednesday, March 10th
  • Wednesday, March 31st

Food will be given out from the hours of 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on each of the above listed dates.

Of course, making all of this happen is no easy task, either.  If you do not need to attend the mass food distribution events and have some free time or are looking for a way to give back to the community, volunteers are going to be needed--a lot of volunteers.

The City of Nampa is accepting online volunteer sign-ups for this event right now. As we write this, only four of the forty-five open positions are filled. How about grabbing some friends and making this happen?

If you know someone in need, please share this information with them.  The Idaho Food Bank and City of Nampa are working hard to provide for those in need during these tumultuous times.
