Confirmed: Boise Death Not Linked to Coronavirus
The Coronavirus, which started out as a massive medical emergency and warning around the globe, continues to spread and cause concern. Over the past few days, we've been seeing the ripple effect of something as scary as this virus that has now reached every continent except for Antarctica. The stock market is taking a hit from the issues and weariness caused by the Coronavirus and while Donald Trump says that it is all under control, the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization are saying otherwise.
According to health officials, it may be time that communities begin to take daily precaution due to this virus and some are saying it may become part of our daily lives, for the time being.
There have been no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Treasure Valley just yet and obviously, I think we can all agree that we hope it stays that way. I recently reported that there was cause for concern here in the Treasure Valley. We're happy to follow up and say that the concern is indeed a false alarm.
Local health officials found an elderly man dead in his home and after looking into the cause, they discovered that the man had recently been in China with a layover in San Francisco on his return flight. This raised concern for Coronavirus in the man despite some preliminary tests looking clear. After further testing, Central District Health officials say that the man did indeed NOT have Coronavirus and passed of natural causes.
While something like the Coronavirus seems to be something that could never happen to you, we can't stress enough-- wash your hands, watch where you're exposed to germs, and be conscious in your travel decisions.
