When we were doing "Better Me in 30" I was dying to try a "Paint Nite" and now I'm hooked! If you've never tried one, this should be your first time!

I'm currently running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year.  It's a 10 week fundraising campaign where every $1 my team raises is 1 vote for us to take the title and 1 vote for cancer to lose! The LLS uses the money raised during this campaign to fund research of life saving cures and provide services to blood cancer patients and their families.  It's a cause close to my heart.  In 2010, I lost my great uncle (who was always fascinated by what really went on behind the scenes at a radio station) to Leukemia.  In January of 2016 I found out one of my good friends from back home was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia after his doctor found bleeding on his retinas during a routine eye exam.  George and his wife were a huge part of helping me find the courage to move to Boise right out of college and I hate to think about such an amazing husband and dad battling such an ugly disease.  One of the medications he's taking as part of his treatment was discovered through research funded by a grant from the LLS.  They're a great organization and I know they to the right thing with the funds they raise.  That's why I want to raise at least $10K during my campaign.  So how can you help?!

Join me at Paint Nite on April 6th at Amsterdam Lounge at 7 PM!  Once you buy your ticket, Paint Nite takes care of everything else to help you create your masterpiece.  They provide you with a canvas, paints, brushes, apron and an artist to teach you step by step how to paint this beautiful Paris painting we're doing in honor of Leia, the 13-year old cancer patient who just received a phone call from Adam Sandler! The best part? You don't need ANY artistic ability or experience to create your masterpiece.  I didn't believe it either until I tried tried it myself! As you can see in the picture above, my mom and I did pretty well!

You are responsible for your own drinks, but I guarantee you spending a little on one of Amsterdam's killer coffee cocktails to loosen you up before you paint is totally worth it.

Tickets are $45 and a portion of that price goes directly to the LLS! So please come paint with me! We need to sell 35 tickets by March 23rd to make sure the event happens, so purchase your tickets now by clicking below! You can learn more about Paint Nite HERE or make a direct donation to help us reach $10K HERE!
