Do You Bring the Older Kids a Gift at a Baby Shower?

My (like a) brother is welcoming a baby in July and I can't wait to spoil his daughter! That started at the baby shower on Thursday, but I couldn't help but feel bad that I didn't bring something for his soon to be step daughter!

My brother told me his girlfriend (now fiance) was expecting a baby back in November and it was SO HARD to not tell anyone about it until they made an adorable announcement a few weeks ago!  It goes without saying that I was stoked when his fiance invited me to her baby shower this week.

But, I couldn't help but feel like I messed up on the gift thing when she started opening them.  My brother's fiance has a five year old daughter from a previous relationship and many of the guests brought her a "big sister" gift as well.  I doubt she was offended by the fact that I didn't include one of those, but what's the protocol here?
