“True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” that is my favorite quote when it comes to humility. There is alot to be said for humility. I believe in being confident in your ability but I also believe in being humble in your results. Why am I sharing all this with you? Let me explain... I've been fortunate enough to do what I love for a living and this job has allowed me to meet many artist. Some are on the way up and some are on the way down. It's always gratifying to play a new artist on the radio and then watch them become a star. For the most part when artist are starting out they're humble and they're driven by the passion for their music and the need to leave a mark on this world. Most of the time when they have hit songs and success takes over they think they can do NO wrong and that everybody loves them no matter how mediocre their next single is. I can't begin to tell you how shocked and impressed I was by what happened after Drake who was the surprise guest got boooed off the stage this past weekend at Camp Flog Gnaw.

After Tyler The creator slammed the audience on social media, Drake said something to this effect... It wasn't my night, they didn't want to see me and a little humility is always welcomed. Drake is arguably the biggest artist in the world when it comes to Hip Hop and that's how he responded... one word... RESPECT!
