Did your Cinco de Mayo turn into more of a Cinco de Drinko? Yeah, I get that. Today was a brutal start. Let's not do this again, deal? In the meantime, we've got to take care of today.

After several opportunities to try just about everything and extensive research (just in case I missed something), I've come up short. Dang it!

If you woke up with a hangover this morning, hydrate. You can take something for that killer headache but stick to aspirin or ibuprofen, according to Dena Davidson, Ph.D., former associate professor of psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Yeah, that's it. I mean, really?

However, there are ways you can avoid waking up with a hangover.

  • Don't drink as much. That's a simple solution.
  • Order water with your drink and alternate back and forth between alcohol and water.
  • Before you go to bed, get fluids in you.

I can't guarantee fluids before bed will do anything for your hangover because 1. I'm not a doctor and 2. It depends on the level of drunk you are, my friend.

Eating greasy foods, drinking coffee and immediately guzzling sports drinks isn't going to get rid of your hangover. It may get rid of one of the symptoms but they are mostly myths. Sad, isn't it?

Here are 11 Ways to Ease a Hangover and they include some of the information I included.

Good luck to you. Good luck to us. It's going to be quite a summer, isn't it?
