It might feel like something that only happens in the movies, but unfortunately this encounter was very real.

KTVB reports that a man in Cambridge was killed after being run over by a bull on his property. The 78-year-old man was assisting a few other bystanders to get some cows and bulls back to their owner's pasture, when one of the animals grew violent and attacked him. After the attack, the man was being transported to the airport to receive medical assistance on a LifeFlight, but he sadly passed away on the way there.

The victim's (who as of yet has not had their name released) wife shot and killed the animal, with permission from the bull's rightful owner.

Odd as it may seem, there are steps you can take to avoid (or if you can't avoid, survive) being attacked by a bull. The best step is avoiding interactions with the animal if at all possible
