Massive Beer & Chili Cook-Off Prepares to Invade Boise

There's never a bad time of the year to enjoy some chili, but hen temperatures are as cold as they have been and snow coat the Treasure Valley floor--now, more than ever, chili is THE comfort food of choice. Whether you like it meaty, spicy, or loaded with veggies, there's a chili for everyone and here in Boise, we sure could use some right now!

If you're a chili lover--or a beer lover--an upcoming event is guaranteed to be right up your alley and just thinking about it has our mouths watering.

The even has just gone live, put on by Sockeye Brewing in Meridian, Idaho. As they state in their event post:

Whether you're a seasoned pro or a chili enthusiast, this event is your chance to bring (and taste) the heat and prove that your recipe is the real MVP. The catch? All entries must include Sockeye Beer in the recipe! That's right, we're looking for the best damn chili you can make with one of our year-round beers! Think you've got what it takes?

Yeah, that certainly sounds amazing to us!

You don't need to make chili--you can just sign up to try it!

To enter, there's a $25 fee and to be a participant in tasting all of the wonderful chilis, you'll need to grab a ticket for just $20.

The event takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, February 24th. Expect there to be over 20 contestants running for 'Chili Master' along side live music, Sockeye Brewing's great taps, and more!
