Meridian's 'Varsity Pub' Announces Closing Weekend

Over the past year, a lot has changed. Habits have changed, events have been canceled, streets and venues known for crowds and noise have gone quiet. Literally NOTHING has been the same over the past 12-months and we're all ready to get some sense of normalcy back.

With vaccines rolling out and more and more light appearing at the end of this tunnel, I think it is fair to say that EVERYONE is hoping to get back into their favorite bars, restaurants, venues. Meridian's popular Varsity Pub is one of those places.

For a very long time, 103.5 KISS FM spent every Thursday at Varsity Pub in Meridian and as things have re-opened, we've looked forward to going back out there once the dance floor was open again to enjoy our time in one of our favorite bars. According to a recent Facebook post, our days of having Varsity Pub, located upstairs above Lucky Fins, are numbered.

As stated on a recent Facebook Event online:

Come have one last round and support your favorite bar staff at Varsity Pub!
This is the last week of them being open and Saturday night the last call will be the last call forever

No word yet on the who, what, where, when, or why for the assumed closure of Varsity Pub however we will continue to keep you posted on what is next for the popular Meridian spot.
