My Fave Met Gala Lewks

The Met Gala is an EXPERIENCE. When I say experience, I'm talking about me experiencing watching it via instagram from afar. Each year, celebrities walk up the famous Met stairs in New York and showcase over the top fashion.

The theme of this year was 'Camp', and the stars really brought it.

I didn't fully understand what the Camp theme was about until our afternoon guy came and told Keke and I. He gave us an explanation that he articulated better than I can, so here's the urban dictionary description:

When the usage appeared in 1909, it denoted "ostentatious, exaggerated, affected, theatrical", or "effeminate" behaviour, and by the middle of the 1970s, the definition comprised "banality, mediocrity, artifice, [and] ostentation ... so extreme as to amuse or have a perversely sophisticated appeal"
