If you were a parent in this school district what would you do if your teenage daughter came home with a letter telling her to make sure to "cover up the girls," "select an outfit where we won't be looking at 'sausage rolls" and to remember that you "can't fit 10 pounds of mud in a 5 pound sack?"

Well, one mother of a Biglerville High School student wants to sue the school for sexual harassment over this set of body shaming dress guidelines for the senior awards assembly that was sent to her home.

Something tells me the school was trying to be relate-able and funny to their students, but this is just plain wrong.  I understand having a dress code for special events like having straps on dresses be at least three fingers thick or having a skirt reach your fingertips when your hands are extended at your side.  But to body shame teenage girls and comment on their weight in an official set of guidelines like this?  It's unacceptable.  We should be celebrating the academic achievements of young women this time of year instead of focusing on their bodies and waistlines.  What do you think?
