Saturdays are for walking through the market trying new food, filling bags with local fruits and veggies (that are the key to those short shorts you're wanting to wear) and discovering new products made right here in Idaho. Those Saturdays start now.

Right this second, as I look out the window, I'm seeing snow falling on the cars in the parking lot and filling the front lawn's pond (check the date of this post - yes, I'm serious). It's cold and all I can think about are those warm Saturday mornings on 8th street.

The Capital City Public Market opens tomorrow (Saturday, April 15) along 8th Street between Bannock and Main. Start your day at the market as early as 9:30 a.m. Things close up at 1:30 p.m.

If you're driving in for the market here are some suggested parking places. This also includes a place to park your bike. By the way, I'm obsessed with putting a basket on the front of my bike so I can fill it with fresh bread, flowers and produce. I want to look like a stock image you can buy online. That, or like I'm from another country. Either way, I feel happiness.
