If you're like me, you might have grown up watching the world famous tv show "COPS" or, the more developed version now, "Live PD". There's something exhilarating about watching people get caught! High speed chases? Sign me up. About a year ago now, I took a ride along with our own Ada County Sheriff's Office and SERIOUSLY got to experience a high speed chase through the backroads of Meridian!  While in the moment it was intense and a little stressful, I look back and laugh at how crazy of an experience that was. Lucky for me and everyone involved--nobody was hurt and the suspect was brought into custody. What a story I have to tell, though.

Just this morning, the Pocatello Police Department had a lot on their hands as a suspect was on the run via vehicle. He was wanted, according to the Idaho State Journal, on warrants for violent crimes. This was happening in the streets of Pocatello at 4:00 a.m.!

If you've watched COPS or LIVE PD, you've seen a "pit maneuver" before. It is when a police car bumps the back of a fleeing vehicles car with their bumper which makes that vehicle on the run spin around and stop.

The execution of this particular pit maneuver was pretty impressive and if you love a police chase like I do, you'll see why this video is making the rounds all over the internet today-- even beyond Idaho. One police have the car stopped, the suspect was no more cooperative.

Bust out some popcorn and watch the dash cam footage from a local police chase, below:
