Months ago, our community was rocked with tragedy as we learned of the horrific crimes that took place at the Wiley Street Apartments. Allegedly Timmy Kinner returned to the complex (after being asked to leave) and carried out the largest mass stabbing our community has ever seen, most victims being children. Sadly three-year-old Ruya Kadir lost her life.

Today, the makeshift memorial that hung over the entrance to the complex has been removed, and in some scenes, the city has begun to heal. But what of Timmy Kinner the man allegedly responsible for all of this? KTVB reports that prosecutors will seek the death penalty.

Prosecutors announced Thursday morning they will seek the death penalty for the man charged with stabbing a little girl to death and injuring eight other people in a bloody June rampage at a Boise apartment complex.

Timmy Kinner, 30, is set to go to trial in January for the murder of 3-year-old Ruya Kadir at her birthday party at the Wylie Street Station apartments in June. Five other children attending the party were also stabbed, along with three adults who tried to intervene.

Mr Kinner is also charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and use of a deadly weapon. This has me hopeful that there will be Justice For Ruya.
