Are There More Men Or Women In Idaho? The Answer Is Crazy
Overall, we'd consider Idaho a pretty peaceful place to live. The crime isn't too bad, the people are nice, and it's not tough to get away to some nice scenery.
That being said, Idaho is most definitely a state divided.
- Some people in Idaho vote Republican while others vote Democrat
- Taylor Swift is beloved by some Idahoans, and loathed by others
- Many citizens in Idaho believe in aliens, while others are completely wrong
No matter how you cut it, Idaho is split up in several different ways. Especially when it comes to gender.
You'd assume that we'd have an exact 50/50 split between men and women who call Idaho home, right? Well, let's take a look at the bigger picture first.
According to recent statistics, there are approximately 165.28 million males and 168 million females living in the U.S. at the moment. Meaning, there are about 3 million more women than men in our country!
Idaho isn't exactly the same. It's actually much, much different. In Idaho, only 49.6% of citizens living here are female. That's right ladies, you are officially outnumbered in the Gem State by dudes.
Do you think with the influx of folks moving to Boise and the Treasure Valley will have an effect on these statistics? Will we see an influx of women moving to Idaho to put us closer to the national average, or will we get more men coming here to yell at a referee on the TV?
Let us know your thoughts on how this is going to play out.
