This morning in Boise it was a lovely 0°.

Can it possibly get any worse? Spoiler alert: Yes.

Today was definitely abnormal in that the typical low this time of year in the Treasure Valley is around 24°. But that, nor 0°, are anywhere near the record.

In December 1990, Boise reached a record low of -25°. That's 25 degrees. Below zero. That is 57° below freezing temperatures.

So yes, it can absolutely get colder. Even though it feels like this is the coldest it can possibly get in Boise, be careful what you wish for.

Luckily, we should be breaking freezing temperatures by Wednesday. Fingers crossed.
