Celebrate International Women’s Day with a Tasty Pint
Celebrating Women and their achievements across the Treasure Valley on International Women's Day with a pint!
10 Barrel Brewing Co. is raising a glass with a pint in celebration of women around the city. The downtown pub is inviting Idahoans down to try Pant Suit Sour, a pomegranate sour, aged with gin botanicals from Ransom Distillery in McMinnville, Oregon. In addition, the first 100 people to order the Pant Suit Sour will receive a limited edition sniffer glass. You will get a nice pairing piece of Tangerine Dream Bark from Chocolat Bar
This is just one of those reasons that Idaho is too special. I love the fact they're calling attention to a day that should be EVERYDAY. I'm not sure if everyone will agree but since becoming a dad I've learned how much MORE special women are.
State Senator Cherie Buckner-Webb will be there to toast this must deserved celebration and does a ton of work to champion the Women's & Children's Alliance in Boise.
As a man, I've never thought much about it. I've always played the radio personality role in single, independent women run this world attitude. My mind opened up after witnessing my wife carry our son. It just goes to show you that a lot of us are ignorant when it comes to how special women are. I say that with the most respect towards other men, but not afraid to speak in my own humility.
Celebrate today by saying thank you to a woman you don't know, someone sitting in a cubicle next to you, the lady in the lunch line, the barista at your favorite coffee spot, the teacher that deals with your late homework, or maybe it's just a simple thank you to your wife.
Grab a group of girls and head out to 10 Barrel Brewing Co. from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. tonight and try a pint!
100% of all proceeds from the Pant Suit Sour, as well as a portion of all beer sales, will be donated to BroncoLife, a Boise State program to empower student-athletes to be positive influencers in their community. THESE proceeds go directly to a fund designated for female student-athletes. That's pretty cool.
