Christmas Baking: Kiss Cookies
I host an annual Ugly Sweater Christmas party for 30 people each year and crank out 300+ cookies to serve my friends every year. This super easy take on the classic Peanut Butter Blossom cookies always results in an empty plate!
Ingredients:
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter (or 1 butter flavored Crisco baking stick)
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- additional sugar
- 5 dozen unwrapped kisses
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 375
- In large bowl mix flour, salt and baking soda. Add butter and peanut butter. Mix until smooth.
- Add sugars and beat until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Make balls out of level tablespoons of dough. Roll in additional sugar.
- Bake for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and add 1 kiss to the center of each cookie. Return to oven and bake 2 more minutes.
- Let cool and enjoy!
Helpful Hints
These can be a bit time consuming so try to find somewhere who sells unwrapped Kisses OR employ your man/BFF/child to help you unwrap all the foil!
