I had a pretty cool moment in our not-so-little city this weekend and it stuck with me so well, I had to share with all of you.  If you were downtown Boise on Saturday night, you may have even seen it.

Living in this city is pretty great. We top lists seemingly all of the time: "Best of this" and "Best of that"--but how often do we take it for granted? It's a city with gorgeous weather, a city you can leave your bike out without a lock and odds are it's going nowhere, and a city that is just minutes from the LACK of city--pure outdoor heaven.

Last night we were partying at Fatty's Bar like we do every Saturday. It was graduation weekend, it was a riot as always--but it was when I was walking back to my car that I heard some abnormally loud noise. As I walked under the elevator that goes up to The Balcony Club--there was a literal DANCE PARTY happening around a live street performer...at like 2:20 a.m.  TONS of people were gathering, dancing, and singing along to Despacito. I had to stop and record it-- you can see my tweet with the video below:

It was so cool--and it didn't stop there. The crowd kept dancing, no matter what song the guy was playing was. I have no idea who the guy performing was--but he deserves mad props.

This is one of those things that you only see in Boise--and you only see in Boise when you get out there and embrace our awesome city. Sure, 2:20 a.m. isn't everyone's cup of tea--but moments like this happen all of the time. Being a local myself, it's tough not to brag to others how great it is here--even people new to the city. But it begs the question: are you living in Boise, or are you LIVING, in Boise!?

Get out there and enjoy this place we call home!
