Idaho Food Bank Offers Free Lunches with Annual Picnic in the Park all Summer

I believe life comes at you so fast that the things around you tend to blur. How many times have you been through a grocery line and the person asks you to donate money? What if you make multiple trips to the store you could be asked each time.

It's understandable that we can't give every time but the Idaho Food Bank is the one that always gives back. This Summer the IFB will be taking care of kids all Summer with free meals. The best quote I've seen all week is the one posted on their website, "Hunger doesn't take a Summer vacation."

I implore you to hit the share button in the hopes it reaches some in need. There is no shame in taking advantage of a free meal while those kids are out of school this Summer. I remember standing in line with my dad at the union when I was very little. We stood there to get some free cheese, milk and more. You just never know when that time is gonna come up and smack you in the bank account. You don't have to wait until that happens. Need help? The Idaho Food Bank is teaming up with so many people around the Treasure Valley to make sure everyone is capable of grabbing a free Monday thru Friday. This won't cost you a cent 🙌

Here's a quick weekly menu and what is being served to the kids. These locations are serving 1-18 years old and if parents wanna join there is a small charge. Kids are free all Summer.

• Monday: Jammin' Jamwich with String Cheese, Grapes, Carrot Sticks and Milk.
• Tuesday: Egg-cellent Hard Boiled Eggs with Pretzels, Oranges, Celery Sticks and Milk.
• Wednesday: Hearty Turkey and Cheddar Sandwich with Whole Grain Bread, Whole Banana, Apple Slices and Milk
• Thursday: Yogurt with Pretzels and Sunbutter, Celery Sticks, Oranges and Milk.
• Friday: Tuna and Whole Grain Crackers, Apple Slices, Carrot Sticks and Milk.

So, if you're ever wondering where that money goes that you drop a few dollars for - might be to feed these amazing kids!

Thanks to the Idaho Food Bank and organizations assisting with feeding all these families. Picnic in the park just started and run till the end of Summer. Try to take a break from emails and messages for a few hours. Take a moment with those kids and unplug in the park.
