There are few things I love in life more than running...and beer.  Which is why I'll be glued to my computer to see Bishop Kelly alum and Olympian, Nick Symmonds go for the gold in tonight's first ever Beer Mile World Championships.

What makes tonight's race in Austin, TX a challenged for a seasoned Olympian?  The rules: no spilling, no puking.  Symmonds will have to chug a 12 oz beer with at least 5% percent alcohol per volume (think a Budweiser or Coors Original,) run a lap and repeat until he's chugged four beers and four laps.  If he wins, he'll get the first ever legitimate Beer Mile World title and $2,500.

Symmonds has made it no secret that he loves beer and we know he's a kick ass runner (please see the fact that he's an Olympian in the 800 meter run and destroyed over 2,000 runners at last week's Turkey Day 5K Boise when he was home visiting family) but will it be enough to hold off Canada's Corey Gallagher who's personal best in the beer mile is 5:01?  Symmonds's personal best is 5:18, which he ran right after competing in the London Games in 2012.

If you want to cheer on a hometown hero, the race will be streamed HERE beginning at 6:45 MT.
