Man Attacks Girls On Greenbelt

Huggie sent me this guy's mugshot and told me I was never allowed to run by myself again. He tried to attack two young girls on the Greenbelt in Garden City yesterday afternoon.

38-year-old Tommie Salmon pulled a knife on two girls ages 10 and 12 on Wednesday at 2 PM.  Police say the girls came across the man in an agitated state, got scared when they saw the knife and ran to tell an adult.  Police found the homeless man living in a makeshift camp along the river.  He'd been living there for two days.

Salmon was arrested and will be in court for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges today.

While I'm glad police took this guy into custody, Huggie had a valid point.  I do tend to run on the Greenbelt by myself and because Boise's such a safe community, I never think about the fact that weirdos like this guy are out there.  Ladies, how do you feel about walking/running/biking on the Greenbelt by yourself?
