President’s BSU Visit Causes Road Closures

Following his State of the Union address, President Obama visits Boise State today. His visit will affect traffic in several areas near campus and the airport.

ACHD will closing spots on the following streets.  Any vehicles parked in one of these "No Parking" zones will be towed due to heightened security.

• University Drive from Broadway Avenue to Capitol Boulevard
• Euclid Avenue from University Drive to Beacon Street
• Manitou Avenue from University Drive to Beacon Street
• Belmont Street from Grant Avenue to Vermont Avenue
• Gowen Road, Eisenman Road to Victory Road

These restrictions are expected to be lifted by 7 PM tonight.

Motorists should also expect delays on Broadway Avenue and possibly Capitol Boulevard on Wednesday afternoon. President Obama will land at the Boise airport around 1:20 PM and is expected to speak in the Caven-Williams Sports Complex close to 3 PM.
