Another Tuesday another adventure on our quest to find the best tacos in the Treasure Valley. Today has been a cloudy, rainy and somewhat cold day, the kind of day that makes you crave something hot and hearty. Tacos definitely fit the description so we gladly accepted the task at hand. Before we get into the good stuff allow me to share our disclaimer, we never accept free food because our goal is to provide a service for our listeners and readers. The point is to share our unbiased opinion and if we accepted free food we might feel the need to give someone a better review than they might deserve. Now lets talk tacos.

Last Tuesday we decided to try something a bit different and we ended up at Fiesta Chicken where by the virtue of their name they specialize in chicken. This week we wanted to get back to a more traditional approach but much to our surprise we took another left turn and ended up with a very different experience. El Gallo Giro in downtown Boise provided a major plot twist when we walked into their all you can eat Taco Tuesday Buffet. Picture this 6 different meats, all the fixin's plus chips and salsa for $10. I was skeptical at first but to be honest with you this out of the box approach left me satisfied and I would definitely go back. The truth of the matter is that if you have a bad taco at this place, you have no one to blame except for yourself because you make your own. Mateo gave himself a 3.5 out of 5 tacos and I scored El Gallo Giro's Taco Tuesday buffet a 4 out of 5 tacos. The Carne Asada was flavorful, the Adobada was impressive and the carnitas hit the spot. If you're in downtown Boise on a Tuesday I would recommend it.
