Taco Tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week however, lately Taco Tuesday have been rough. I feel like the last 3 spots we've hit have been weak, real weak, as in  1 or 2 out of 5 weak. Nevertheless, I believe in " If you don't succeed at first, try try again" so today we did the 2C slide in hopes of finding some tasty tacos.

Before we go any further allow me to state our disclaimer / mission. We do not accept free food because the purpose of the Taco Tuesday review is to give the KISS-FM listeners / reader an unbiased opinion. If we accepted free food we may feel obligated to give someone a more favorable review and that violates the purpose.

Finally GOOD tacos! Mateo got a tip about this newish taco truck and we decided to make the drive to 1216 W. Simplot in Caldwell. If you live in Boise or Meridian this is a hike but if you're in Nampa or Caldwell you definitely need to try Gonzaga Tacos. When we pulled up to the huge empty lot we didn't expect much but the minute the meat started cooking we knew this was going to be good. Mateo and I both tried the Carne Asada as well as the Pollo Asada (chicken ) tacos. As I type my mouth is watering just thinking about them. The meat was tender and juicy, the tortillas were a bit moist (but not drenched) from being cooked on the same surface as the carne asada and the flavor was undeniable. The red salsa is good and has a bit of a bite to it but the green was my favorite. The woman running the spot couldn't have been nicer so all in all it was a great experience and both Mateo and I give Gonzaga Tacos a 4 out of 5 rating.
