Taco Tuesday Review

I always look forward to Taco Tuesday but today was on another level. I was super excited because my brother was flying from California and I was eager to show him that Idaho has great tacos. As many you know Mateo and I are on a mission every week to find the best tacos in the Treasure Valley. Before we get to the good stuff allow me to share our one disclaimer. we never accept free food because our goal is to provide a service for our listeners and readers. The point is to share our unbiased opinion and if we accepted free food we might feel the need to give someone a better review than they might deserve. Now let's talk tacos.

Since my bother just landed we wanted him to experience great tacos and also get a feel for downtown Boise so we decided to hit Matador on 8th. To our pleasant surprise we found out that not only does Matador celebrate Taco Tuesday, they also partake in Top Shelf Tuesday (can you say shots? Hahahaha). Seriously we stuck to tacos. I like the fact that they offered the option of flour or corn tortillas on their street tacos. I like it more that their street tacos are HUGE. I ordered 3 tacos, A Carne Asada, Chicken and one Carnitas tacos. The Carne asada was impressive, you can taste the quality of the meat. While I'm not a huge fan of boiled chicken ( grilled is my jam) this taco was really good. The Carnitas taco is on par with any carnitas I've had in the past. On a side note their warm chips and cold salsa hit the spot. Mateo scored the tacos 3.5 out of 5 and I think that Matador deserves 4 out of 5 tacos.
