The Ultimate iPhone Prank

A friend pulled this on me the other day and I'm still kicking myself for being confused as all get out for a few seconds. 

Before the guy I was hanging out with went ::POOF:: with no explanation, I'll admit that I acted like a little bit of a teenage girl on the inside when we were texting.  Seriously, I felt like a high school girl with a crush because I got excited the first couple times I saw the dots indicating that he was answering my text.  Sad.  I know.  But imagine the anxiety attack I would've had if he had played this prank on me.

The fabulous folks at Miscellaneous Mischief came up with an "Infinite Text-In Progress" prank where you send an iPhone user an animated gif of the iPhone "text in progress" dots.  That person will think you're typing forever and of course, the follow-up text is never received.

I almost fell for this prank when my friend Michael sent me the gif the other day.  Luckily I was smart enough to realize that he has an Android and something was fishy here!

Give it try and see if you drive your iPhone using friends completely crazy with it!
