Local Cidery to Host Charity Event
If there's something that I can love as much as locally made hard cider, it's a charity event. Long Drop Cider Company (one of my favorite spots to get some cider) located over off of Capitol Boulevard in Downtown Boise is holding a charity event that is both perfect for summer and great for the Women and Children's Alliance here in the Treasure Valley.
As we go into an especially intense heat wave here in Boise, I think Long Drop Cider Company is onto something...Hard Cider Popsicles! The event, named "Licks for Love" is happening on August 26th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will even feature some live, local music.
10% of all proceeds are going to go directly towards the WCA and yes, additional donations will be warmly accepted. Here are the nuts and bolts:
- There's no cover charge--get in for free!
- Popsicles cost $3 each
- Bring your kids--it isn't a 21+ only environment and there will be alcohol free popsicles for FREE for the kids!
