Male Sales Clerk Refuses To See Women Tampons

Really dude?!  Don't you know it's already embarrassing enough for females to have to go to a male clerk to buy our feminine hygiene products.  I can't believe there are men out there that act like this!

Over the weekend an upcoming singer/songwriter named Mary Epworth was traveling through Iowa while on tour when the moment all women dread arrived.  That time where your monthly gift sneaks up on you and after digging through your purse, searching under the bathroom sink and asking all the females around you, you just can't find a tampon anywhere.  Mary's caravan stopped at a gas station where the male clerk refused to sell her the box of tampons.  You'll never believe his reasoning!

One of Mary's co-writers happened to be on the bus and had a little chat with this young man too.

In the end the whole situation was actually kind of comical.  At the same time it makes me sad for society that there are actually men that think like this!  This young man is both brave and stupid.  You just came between a woman who most likely has PMS and tampons.  What he should've said is "Reese's cups are 2 for $1! Would you like to add some to your purchase today?"  Then he would've looked like a rock star.

Ladies, what would you say if a male clerk refused to sell you tampons and made a female clerk ring you up instead?
