This story has Idaho written all over it. According to KTVB an Eastern Idaho man is facing charges after he allegedly sprayed two other men with bear spray. Why bear spray you may ask? Because IDAHO that's why.

An eastern Idaho man police say doused two men on a Pocatello street with bear spray is facing charges.
Fifty-nine-year-old Kyle Smith was taken into custody by police on Thursday and booked into the Bannock County Jail on suspicion of two counts of misdemeanor battery.

Apparently, one of the men needed medical attention and was transported to a local hospital. This whole incident may have sprung from an incident earlier the previous day.

Contrary to what most believe, bear spray and pepper spray are not the same product marketed differently. The active ingredient in both (oleoresin capsicum) which is what causes the discomfort is found in far less quantity in Bear Spray. The reasoning being, the goal of using bear spray is to scare the bear off, not incapacitate it.
