According to KTVB News Channel 7, the lockdown beginning at 9 AM at Marsing High School has now been lifted.

A man is under arrest after a high speed chase ended at Marsing High School during the police pursuit.  He eventually crashed is car in a field during the choice, ran into the school and back again where police were finally able to find and arrest him.

The incident started 18 miles from the Oregon border when other motorists called 911 to report a car swerving in and out of lanes.  A sheriff's deputy chased the man at high speeds before he eventually crashed into a berm.  After the wreck, he fled on foot onto school grounds.  Police will remain at Marsing High School to process evidence for the next several hours.  They say the suspect was a man in his 20s with long dark hair.  His identity has not been released.
