New Music: Matt Nathanson “Headphones”

So, I may be slightly obsessed with Matt Nathanson.  Like, next week will be my seventh Matt Nathanson concert, obsessed.  This week you'll have a chance to win tickets to his concert with Mary Lambert (of Macklemore's Same Love) and be one of the first people to hear this new song live!

I'm a hardcore Matt Nathanson fan.  His music has gotten me through just about everything in my adult life.  I can't tell you how many times I've listened to his Some Mad Hope album, while enjoying a glass of wine in a bubble bath and crying it out over a failed relationship.  Don't judge, it was totally cathartic.

His song Modern Love makes me laugh because one line pegs a loser I dated a few years ago.  And at times his lyrics "My life's a movie, my whole life's a movie...if movies want to make you jump off a bridge. She said 'I got one who moves me and one who sees through me. All I really want is a kiss." from Annie's Always Waiting ring a little too true with me.

Needless to say I have a lot of favorite Matt Nathanson songs, but the new one he released last week may have just moved into the #1 spot of my favorite Matt songs! Check it out!
