Save a Life. Swab Your Cheek Monday
Have you ever saved a life? Most of us would say never. I'd like to open your eyes to something so magnificent that it should be our honor to help this person. This is one of the most selfless things you may ever do for the rest of your life. Is it selfless though? I would get so much in return just knowing that I was able to help. How about you?
There's a little girl who is fighting cancer and needs to find a bone marrow match. Devon is in the 8th grade and loves animals, softball, basketball, and the show Heartland. This little lady relapsed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a blood cancer. The first thing we do after finding out friends/family are going through something we ask, "Is there anything I can do?" Usually, this question is always followed up by, "Thanks but we'll just have to see what happens." Not in this case.
Devon's mother is teaming up with Camp Rainbow Gold and several organizations to find her girl a bone marrow donor. Devon needs to find a match and soon. I'm asking you to join me in a simple swab of the cheek. Technology has made this easy to do. I'll list the location below. Let's find Devon a match and who knows - your bone marrow might save someone else's life.
