Most didn't expect to wake up to the type of snow we saw this morning, but according to the Boise Airport, 3 inches fell overnight.

While these 3 inches may have seemed mild compared to what we have seen earlier on this winter, it does carry some significance to the Treasure Valley.

The 3 inches of snow that fell overnight have officially done what the record books needed in order to have a record broken.  Just over 35 inches, 35.5 to be exact, breaks the record set in the winter of 1985-1986 by 0.4 inches.
