Sick of swiping left and right on Tinder and Bumble? Are you really upset that Craigslist took down their personals page? Well-- there's a new contender in the online/app based dating world and it's a platform that you're probably already on. Enter, Facebook dating.

CEO and Founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg announced today that the dating app hopes to bring long-lasting relationships. Okay then, Mark. Not sure I foresee that happening but maybe I'm wrong.

If you opt-in to be in the "dating realm" of Facebook-- your friends won't know (unless they're also on the "other side).  Just first names will be visible and the messaging faucet for the dating side of Facebook won't be attached to normal messenger...so don't worry about awkward mixups.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't think Facebook offers anything that any other online dating app could offer so--is it really that big of a deal? All reports so far seem to indicate the service will be free.

What do you think? Would you try it out?
