JUMP Downtown Boise Hosts a Silent Night Disco Party Friday Night
JUMP Boise and Kaleidisco are hosting their Silent Night Silent Disco on Friday, December 15 from 7 p.m. to midnight downtown Boise. Why is it silent and why would anyone want to go party with disco music?
Let's start by saying you've gotten old if you think it's a Studio 54 style party. For so many reasons it's not, you won't hear any "Stayin' Alive" coming out of the speakers.
Silent disco is a unique way of experiencing live music – whether it be a DJ or even a live band. Guests wear wireless headphones and a silent atmosphere instantly transforms into a high energy musical performance.
If you've never been to a silent disco in your life, this should definitely be on your to-do list. The event is set up with local DJs playing music on two different stations, with a third station that will be projecting Christmas movies all night long. The fun thing about silent discos is that all of the music is played through headphones so when you take them off the space is completely quiet. AKA "silent" disco.
In addition to the hosted music, dancing, and Christmas movies you can also bring a toy for Toys for Tots to be entered in a raffle to win a Golden Ticket which gets you into every event hosted by Kaleidisco. Forever. You never have to worry about grabbing a ticket last minute ever again. You're in.
Time to break out your velvet pants, fur coats, throw some glitter on your eyes and party with your favorite people in headphones. Tickets are on sale through Eventbrite now for $18 but last year they sold out fast so hurry! Event information can also be found on Facebook, with links to purchase tickets there as well. Ages 18 and up.
