Kekeluv Interrupted by Lennox in a Daddy Doggy Moment
My son will do anything to be a part of the action and in the conversation. You will see my conversation with a silly dog turns in o a funny moment with our son.
That photo says it all right there! You can't see from here, but that's my son video bombing my feature presentation. You probably don't see me because this little guy had to be all about it. I was reading a listener's comments on Facebook yesterday and she said something that made total sense after watching Lennox in the refrigerator.
Ha! I love it because that's REAL parenting!
That quote probably makes more sense than we might think. You have those television families, commercial families, the perfect movie families, and YOUR family. My kid walks to the refrigerator and asks me, "Daddy, Beer?" That's not something you would post in a video right because then everyone would judge. I posted it because we worry too much about what other people think. Lennox walk to the refrigerator and was just being a considerate kid thinking of his daddy. He has no idea WHAT it is, but it's for his daddy. That's just honest.
I ALSO let him sit in my lap while we circle the street at home. Yep, I said it! I put those hazard lights on, go 1 mph, and he gets to drive with the biggest smile on his face like a big kid. You have to understand we had a near tragic situation with his health his first year and I really just want to enjoy every moment. I don't want to take things for granted because life is just too damn short. People get too serious today, lack fun, and it's up to US to fix it. This is one of the ways we do it.
Let me challenge you to take a few minutes with your kids, cousins, and be whoever they want you to be for just a few moments. Ask them to fix something on your Facebook or Instagram to empower them. Inquire about Snapchat and color with them even when you don't feel like it. My entire family lives in Texas and I miss moments like this with them. I try super hard to make sure I don't miss it with Paige and Lennox. I don't have all the answers, don't always make the right decisions, and I have so much to learn about be good at this husband/daddy thing. I have made them a promise and that is to ALWAYS try my best not forget what is most important in life. I'm the worst offender and that's why I'm sharing this quote with you. "Nobody lays on their death bed wishing they could spend just one more day at work." - unknown.
