New York Mets second baseman Daniel Muphy is at the center of a lot of controversy in the sports world right now becuase of a decision he made after his wife went into labor.  According to ESPN, his wife went into labor in Flordia and the baby arrived just an hour before the Mets' opener against the Washington Nationals.  Murphy decided to stay in Florida with his wife through Wednesday, missing two games.

Several radio hosts in at WFAN criticized Murphy saying things like "You're a major league baseball player. You can hire a nurse. What are you gonna do, sit there and look at your wife in the hospital bed for two days?" and "She should've had a C-section before the season starts."
