We hit this yesterday morning on the show: White Claw has become so popular that the demand may get bigger than the supply. Shout out to Andy from Hayden Beverage Company for listening and sending Keke and I cases of Truly and Samuel Adams Octoberfest today at the station!

White Claw Hard Seltzer is so popular at the moment that the company is having a hard time keeping up with demand.

CNN Business reports that sales of the alcoholic beverage are up an astonishing 283 percent in July, compared to the same period last year, and accounted for 55 percent of all sales in the suddenly crowded hard seltzer niche--which also includes Anheuser-Busch's Spiked Seltzer and Boston Beer's Truly.

A White Claw spokesman says the company is working "around the clock" to increase supply. Analysts attribute the sudden seltzer success to it being more diet-friendly and containing less sugar than most beer or spirits; a single can contains about 100 calories. As beer sales decline, seltzer can help beer companies make up for lost revenue, particularly in the light beer category.

Personally, I'm a Truly over everything kind of girl. White Claw is too sweet for me and Truly has that less sweet flavor with just 1g of sugar and 100 cals per can. So I'm worried that White Claw drinkers may move to Truly if their Claw is out and realize that Truly is way better then permanently make the switch and take my supply!

This really could spiral out of control. What insignificant thing would make you panic if it were gone?!
