Taco Tuesday's for the most part are awesome at the radio station mainly because of the anticipation that comes along with finding a new taco spot and enjoying the fruits of its labor. Today was a complete and utter disappointment. I will explain shortly.

Before we get into the good stuff let me first say that we never accept free food because our goal is to give the KISS-FM listener / reader / viewer an unbiased review. If we accepted free food we might be tempted to give someone a favorable review that they don't deserve.

On many occasions and I mean m-a-n-y occasions after a fun Saturday night downtown Mateo and I hit the Azteca Mexico City Grill taco truck. I always get the shrimp and carne asada burrito and honestly, it's a life saver. Today we decided that we would try them for Taco Tuesday (They park on state and 5th during the week). Before I ordered I told the woman at the window that their burritos had saved my life many times on Saturday nights... She replied... "I'm asleep at that time". I thought nothing of it but when I tasted the food it all made sense. Tuesday's tacos are nothing like Saturdays burritos. I went all in and in addition to ordering my carne asada, pollo and adobada tacos I also ordered a super taco. I was... Super disappointed. The carne was dry and seemed like it had been sitting there for a very long time. The pollo looked and tasted like it was broiled and then drenched in salsa that came out of a jar. The adobada was blah at best with very little flavor, it too was drenched in what tasted like store bought salsa. I'm not sure if it's a different crew on Saturday nights but the Tuesday score for Azteca is 2.5 out of 5 tacos. Mateo didn't even finish the two tacos he ordered and based on his experience he gave them 1.5 tacos out of 5. I guarantee you I will be back on a random Saturday night but their Tuesday vibes are not it.
