Tuesday how I love thee. What? Is that me coming in hot? Ok, does this make it better?... Taco Tuesday how I love thee... hahaha... But seriously Tuesday's might as well be Friday's around here because Mateo and I celebrate weekly. Every Tuesday we rejoice in searching for the best tacos in the Treasure Valley. Sometimes we hit a Taco truck and sometimes we try a sit down spot like we did today. Before we get into the good stuff let me first say that we never accept free food because our goal is to give the KISS-FM listener / reader / viewer an unbiased review. If we accepted free food we might be tempted to give someone a favorable review that they don't deserve.

La Tapatia on Park center is a non-assuming little spot next the Holiday Inn which I have driven by a hundred times and had never though about stopping at until today when a listeners suggested we try it because according to them " they didn't want to take a chance and pay for bad food". Mateo and I decided to be the test dummies and are we glad we did. The place is clean, the service is good and the food is delicious! We ordered our customary 3 tacos. Carne asada, Pollo (chicken) and Adobada. The flavor on the adobada was impressive, The Pollo was tender and tasty, The Carne was on par if not better with any other taco we've had in the valley (that's a lot of tacos). On a 1 to 5 scale I gave La Tapatia a 4.25 and Mateo scored it a 4 out 5. I will gladly return to this family owned spot and I recommend you try it today.
